Sean Clancy Picks CARE Complex for His Great World Race
Sean Clancy is running seven marathons on seven continents, 186 miles in all. The money he raises is coming home to Las Vegas. This week he named CARE Complex, the homelessness services hub in Downtown Las Vegas, as a beneficiary of his Great World Race campaign.
A Cause a Few Blocks Away
CARE Complex sits in the Corridor of Hope in Downtown Las Vegas. It has served people experiencing homelessness, and working people on the edge of it, since 2007.
Its mission is the elimination of homelessness. It is privately funded, and it shows up every day with practical help.
What the Work Looks Like
Community Table serves more than 2,000 meals a week.
Homeless to Home covers rent, move-in kits, and support so people stay housed.
Basic needs services include showers, haircuts, clothing, mail service, and lockers. Workforce support includes job training and bus passes.
None of it is glamorous. All of it keeps people moving from crisis to stable ground.
Big Effort, Local Impact
Sean is the CEO and owner of Container Technology, Inc. He could run for any big-name charity. He chose Give Happy Foundation and the local nonprofits doing this work, because a dollar goes further here.
“Sean is running across the world to make a difference right here at home,” said Rhiannon Andersen, President and founder of Give Happy Foundation. “CARE Complex helps people get housed and stay housed. That is local giving that changes lives you can see.”
Give Happy is 100% volunteer. Every dollar given to Sean’s campaign goes directly to the nonprofits he has chosen, including CARE Complex.
